Baton Rouge Green
A group of concerned citizens, led by Dr. Jed Morris, formed Baton Rouge Green in 1987 to help restore the urban canopy of Baton Rouge, which they saw diminishing. Over the past 30 years Baton Rouge Green has been ever-present in the Capital Region – maintaining thousands of trees along major roadways and interstates, planting trees with kids in schools, helping underserved neighborhoods with community greening, and cultivating urban orchards to provide citrus to all citizens. We love trees, wildlife, people, and this unique city. We believe in stewardship of this beautiful environment we call home.
